Upscale clothing retailer opens new boutique at Bristol’s Cabot Circus

An independent high-end clothing retailer has opened a new boutique in Bristol city center.

Benedict Raven opened his new store at Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus on Friday, June 4, alongside other high-end fashion retailers such as Harvey Nichols, Hugo Boss, John Anthony and Reiss.

Taking over the unit that once housed Fred Perry, the boutique features the entire Benedict Raven collection, which caters to “the modern man looking for non-mass-produced luxury essentials for his wardrobe.”

The start-up company operated a ‘successful’ three-month pop-up in Bath early last year, after which its founder James Kingston blasted “absurd” rents.

Having launched Benedict Raven in 2018 following the success of his recruiting company, the Bristol-based entrepreneur is delighted to be up and running in his hometown.

He said: “We are delighted to open our doors to the people of Bristol and introduce them to Benedict Raven.

“The city is crying out for a brand like ours that not only offers something unique to the male customer, but also the best in-store experience.

“As a customer, I hate a transactional retail experience without any communication. It’s cold, lifeless, and it’s not pleasant.

“Providing a friendly atmosphere and genuinely consulting with customers, educating them about our brand and each product, how it’s made and most importantly making sure they choose the right clothes that fit perfectly, look great and feel great,” that’s why I created Benedict Raven. “

Over 70% of Benedict Raven’s new collection is made in England, with the entire left side of the store dedicated to showcasing these pieces.

Having featured in GQ, The Gentleman’s Journal and Square Mile, Benedict Raven has ambitions to become the leading luxury menswear brand.

Describing the brand’s new collection, James added, “We’ve researched the best fabrics from around the world to create a capsule collection that our customers can make their wardrobe stand out year after year, and they will want to.

“Everything in our collection is made in limited numbers with great care and attention to detail.

“With all of our pieces made in just a few, Benedict Raven creates luxury clothing for men who appreciate a life of style and love knowing that not everyone will be wearing the same piece.”

The complete collection of Benedict Raven can be purchased online as well as in his Cabot Circus store. For more information, visit Benedict Raven’s website.
