1) What was the idea behind starting an online retail brand?
Samantha replied: When my partner, Sushruthi and I met, we had discussed how the modern Indian woman of today has evolved into a confident, independent woman who stands out professionally and personally. We want to bring products that reflect this go-getter spirit of today’s women to pursue their dreams in the most fashionable way.

2) How much of your personal style has gone into the creative part of this brand?
Ans: We use a lot of influence from my personal style. We interpret it in a way that our customers will enjoy wearing these garments in their daily lives. We always seek feedback from our customers about what they want and make sure we achieve it. When it comes to fashion, we try to bring a little element of that red carpet feel to everyday wear.

3) Tell us about your style. Is it more casual or red carpet?
Ans: My personal style can be defined in two words, feminine and avant-garde! I really like to dress up because it’s a great way to express myself, so I’d go for my red carpet looks!

4) What do you prefer more, Indian clothes or Western clothes according to your appearances?
Answer: In Indian clothing, I like to wear sarees and I try to wear different types of sarees according to my looks, sometimes I try organzas, looms and silks. I also love experimenting with Western clothing as it keeps me in touch with global fashion trends. As I love them both, we established Saaki as a modern Indian brand where we try to bring global fashion trends to Indian clothing.
