Man wanted for indecent exposure and sexual assault at Gwinnett County clothing stores

ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) – Investigators have released photos of a man they are looking for in connection with several indecent exposures and sexual battery incidents at several Gwinnett County clothing stores.

The unidentified man is also being investigated for similar incidents in Dawson County and other jurisdictions, according to police.

Gwinnett County police said the man in all incidents was described as a white male between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in tall. He weighs between 175 and 200 pounds with small decayed teeth.

Police believe the first reported incident happened on March 17 when the man walked into Clothes Mentor at 3310 Buford Drive in Buford.

Police say a victim said she was helping a man in the store when he rubbed his body against them while exposing his private parts.

Investigators do not know if the man left on foot or was in a car after leaving the store.

Gwinnett County Police Officer Hideshi Valle said: ‘In one incident, when the employee alerted other co-workers, he took off and they were unable to stop him. [and] identify it positively.

The man was reported nearly four months later on July 6 when he allegedly rubbed his body on an employee and exposed his private parts inside the Vans store in the Mall of Georgia.

Police said when the employee told his colleagues what had happened, the man left the store on foot and entered the mall.

The incidents worry buyers. Kimberly Polanco said: “It’s worrying if no one has caught it and it’s going to multiple stores, and no one can find it or anything. It’s really worrying to love young people women in shops…as a parent you send your child and he goes to work, I imagine he would be safe especially in his working environment so it is important that companies also create a safe space for their employees.

If anyone has any information that could help identify the man, call Gwinnett County Detectives at 770-513-5300. Or Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
