Man robs retail business at gunpoint: St. Pete Police

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – St. Petersburg police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a Citi Trends department store on Friday, according to a news release.

CCTV provided by the store showed a man pointing a gun at a cashier as he demanded money from the till. She gave him an undisclosed sum of money and then he left the store.

Authorities said his face was partially covered in blue and red cloth and he was wearing a gray hoodie with a distinctive logo on the front. Officers are hoping someone will recognize the logo. The store is located at 1101 62nd Avenue South, St. Petersburg.

The thief is described by investigators as about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
