Branded clothing retailer set to open in Westport

WESTPORT – Post Road East is about to get a little higher.

Blue & Cream, a brand name clothing retailer from New York, is moving to 46-48 Post Road East. The 2,071 square foot facility, leased by Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate, will house high-end apparel.

“Blue & Cream is a curated lifestyle through fashion, showcasing the most coveted styles from an edited mix of established and emerging designers that resonate with an effortless aesthetic,” the company’s website reads. company.

Specific details on the opening date have yet to be released. However, Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate Marketing and Administration Manager Marianne Adamo said they are hoping for a summer opening.

She said Westport had become a “vision to bring the Blue & Cream lifestyle for the first time outside of New York”.

Two of its other stores are located in Manhattan and one in East Hampton.

Adamo said they identify as a market that has much of the same demographic and style profiles as their flagship store in East Hampton.

Not only does the company offer exclusives from the Blue & Cream brand, but it also sells popular brands such as Canada Goose and Nike, as well as niche designers such as Lucien Pellat-Finet, Misa Los Angeles and Clergerie.

Their new women’s summer collection includes casual two-pieces, long-sleeved dresses, pops of color juxtaposed with neutrals, intricate and simple prints and more.

When it comes to menswear, graphic crewnecks, animal print two-pieces, distressed jeans and button downs are just a few of the many pieces in the summer collection.

Blue & Cream also sells shoes, accessories and children’s products.

Adamo said the business will include the resale of Nike Grails, Supreme and Chanel.

As part of Blue & Cream exclusives, they offer luxury casual wear known as The Tile Club.

The Tile Club is inspired by late 19th-century New York artists and architects, who met in private salons to discuss ideas and paint on ceramic tiles.

“With this spirit of adventure and artistic exploration,” the website states, “The Tile Club embodies the expansive artistic energy of the young 2020s New Yorker who travels the world and spends his summers in the Hamptons.”

Located on Post Road East, Blue & Cream will join other high-end businesses like Tiffany & Co and NYC Jewelers of Westport. Other businesses near the store include Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, and Patagonia, among others.

Penney Wickey and Nathan Greenberg of SCRE represented the landlords, 46 Post Road LLC, and will continue to represent them in leasing five office suites on the second floor of the property.

The location was previously home to Joie, a women’s clothing company known for its coastal-inspired aesthetic.
