A new round of applications for the online retail program is now open

A new round of the e-Retail program which supports ambitious Ireland-based retailers looking to grow and improve their online sales and build their e-commerce capabilities has opened up to new applications.

Fianna Fáil TD for Carlow Jennifer Murnane O’Connor welcomed the announcement:

“I would encourage Irish-based retailers to build their capacity and online presence to take advantage of new opportunities to increase revenue, grow and sell internationally.

“The Online Retail Scheme provides direct financial support to retail businesses to develop a more competitive online retail offering to complement their in-store offering. It is administered by Enterprise Ireland and €9.3 million are available in this round of funding.

To be eligible for this funding, applying companies must have at least 10 full-time employees and an existing online presence. The salary costs of an internal project champion can be partially covered by this support.

This person can be any employee who has management support to take on this responsibility and who will be working with an external service provider on the project.

Previous unsuccessful Online Retail Program applicants may reapply to this call with an amended proposal.

Applicants who have been successful in previous calls are also eligible to reapply under this program cycle, once they propose a project that is clearly different from their previous applications.

The online retail program opens for applications today, Thursday, May 5, 2022, and ends June 1, 2022. Find more information and how to apply here.
